mlm focus | getting better | results
Hello there, if you are like me then you are probably sweating on getting better results for the effort you put in to everything you do.
This is not necessarily a bad thing because you do want to know if your hard work is paying off. The problem lies in being results driven. This is very soul destroying because you are measuring everything you do by the end results you get. If your mlm focus is solely about getting results then you are in for some huge disappointments.
Of course we all want good results. This should be our ultimate goal.
When I am coaching sporting teams my main speech is about improving in all aspects of the game and allowing the results to take care of themselves. This also applies in business and in life. When we improve all aspects of what we can control then the results and success will come. So this statement suggests that it is about getting better at what you do. Often people swap and change looking for that miracle opportunity or idea to bring them huge success. This is a lottery mentality and sometimes you could get lucky. The odds however are stacked up against you.
My mentor Robert Klinga summed it up last week. ” Once you know you are headed in the right direction it’s about getting better at what you do”. This really resonated with me. I realised how much energy and creativity I was wasting by trying to reinvent the wheel. I always try to modify and look for new ways of doing things in the hope that I will get better results. Sometimes this does happen. The startling reality that my time would be better spent at improving at the things that work hit me like a ton of bricks.
It’s time to stop looking for shining objects and knuckle down to building a better blog. Improving my writing and copy writing skills and developing my communication skills.
As I develop and grow in these three areas then my results will look after themselves. I will give my mlm business the fuel and energy that is required to have massive success.
I know this to be true because I have seen it on the course of my journey so far.
Get better at what you do and the results will take care of themselves.
Another wise mentor of mine Michael Dlouhy likes to use Jim Rowan’s version “if you want more you need to become more.” The message here is very loud and clear. To become more you need to focus on the skills that will improve your ability. This new found level of leadership and confidence will deliver the results you were looking for in the first place. My advice to you is to find out how you want to grow your mlm business. Is it online and if so what do you need to learn to become better at? Whatever it is hone in on the skills required and start becoming better at developing those skills. You will probably find that effective communication through all mediums is at the heart of what you need to learn. So this could be your starting point of getting better at what you do.
If you are unsure about what you need to get better at ask your team members or company leaders.
Take their advice with a grain of salt. It’s important to filter the advice and make it fit with who you are and what you are passionate about doing.
So I would suggest to seek advice from somebody who is successful and actively building their business the way you would like to. This is crucial to your ongoing development. You may even partner up with them or get them to be your mentor.
