The speed of decision making
Do you time how long it takes you to make up your mind to decide on something?
I know that when I make up my mind quickly and go for it, things usually work themselves out.
You tend to make them work out.
It’s like you insulate yourself against any self doubts and procrastination. Some people will take a different approach.
To them it is important to weigh up all their options and make an informed decision.
Where do you fit in?
I’ll tell you a story that may put this into perspective. Nearly three years ago now I decided to make a radical shift from the network marketing industry I was involved in. Suddenly out of the blue two English gentlemen popped into my life. Larry Lewis and Neil Haywood who were successful entrepreneurs and ran a healthy lifestyle blog in England. To cut a long story short somehow I was attracted to these two gentlemen. Larry Lewis was an excellent blogger and reading his material made me realize I wanted to communicate with people using the written word just as he did. I decided very quickly that I wanted to write and that working with Larry and Neil would provide me with the opportunity to explore blogging and improve my communication skills.
I hounded them. I didn’t think twice about it I just went ahead and pleaded my case until it became futile for them to say no. My teaching, blogging and networking skills would add a great deal of benefit to the already successful blog at Healthy Lifestyles Living.
I have learnt so much. I now feel that we are on the verge of something incredibly powerful. We have launched a Reinvention University for people who want to reinvent themselves. It is not age bound however at the moment our students are people who are going through their mid life crisis and looking to change their lives.
We have made the course free.
We want to make a difference. We want to inspire people to take action and live their life on purpose and with passion.
The course itself is based on your journey throughout life.
It is broken up into acknowledging the past and why things happened the way they did.
This becomes a valuable learning insight to use as you project what your life will be like in the future.
The second phase is knowing where you are right now. Your starting point and the clarity that brings is important so you make the choices required to take you where you want to go.
The third stage is knowing what you want to achieve. The course has been divide up into twelve weeks. This incorporates a weekly webinar.
Ongoing homework is built into it.
You will have access to a life coach Larry Lewis on skype.
You will be involved in the security and comfort of a secret mastermind group on facebook.
I am very excited about this life changing course but this is not the place for divulging all the information about the course.
The best part for me is that I am involved in something that is bigger than all of us.
We have set in motion a life changing wave that will be unstoppable.
It gives me goosebumps as I reflect on the amount of lives we are and will impact for the better.
To a certain extent we are caught up in something that needs to come to life. At times we feel that there is something guiding us to continue and to build this amazing platform.
To think that it all came about because I decided to take action quickly and follow through with my decision.
Napoleon Hill’s study of very successfully people concluded that the one common denominator for these people was that they had the habit of making decisions quickly and changing them slowly if at all.
