Who can you turn to

Who can you turn to in your time of need?

Do you really have a support group?

Have you tested their support and have they been there for you?

Many people find that in times of desperation and uncertainty their so called support group goes missing. Most people tend to turn to close family during these dark periods of their lives.

What happens when you have no one to turn to?

You can wallow in self pity or you can begin to climb out of the rat hole you have dug for yourself.

Having a support group who understands what it takes for you to dig your way out is crucial to making things ok again.

You need to have someone who believes in you until you believe in yourself again.

Most people would feel that they have such people in their lives.

The jury is still out on this for you will never really know until you need them. Many people find that all their so called friends go missing when they really need them.

Have you been there?

The people you thought would be in the trenches with you suddenly disappear.

Now that is a lonely feeling.

What’s more is that it makes your situation worse.

The doubt and insecurities of your situation are further magnified by the solitude that you suddenly find.

It is easy to forgive but very hard to forget.

Ten years after my separation I still have the mental scars of people who deserted me.

In my mind I have forgiven them but I no longer trust them and have very little to do with them.

Have you experienced this sort of loneliness?

In a way it has made me stronger and more resilient and for that I am very grateful. I do have lingering thoughts as to why they would choose to desert me when I needed them most.

The only conclusion I could come up with was fear. It is almost like they have the mindset that you have some contagious disease and it could rub off onto them if they remain in your presence.

No enough it is time to move on.

You want to belong to a place where there is help and expertise to assist you in your time of need.
